Ina Jean Lane

Ina Jean Lane, 91, also known as Jean, passed away peacefully at home in Nevada, Missouri, on February 16, 2025.

Born on November 6, 1933, in Paris, Arkansas, Ina was one of nine children. She was the daughter of the late Everett Rodgers and Ollie Marie Webster Rodgers. She grew up with a strong sense of family and carried that devotion throughout her life.

Ina attended Blythe High School in California before embarking on a dedicated career. She worked at Harters Packing in Yuba City, California, before retiring from Hawker Energy in Warrensburg, Missouri.

She was a home health aide at Integra Independent Living Solutions. All her clients loved her so much and always looked forward to her being there. She continued to work even after she broke her hip and was forced to retire at 74 yrs old.

Her work ethic and commitment were evident in all aspects of her life, but nothing was more important to her than family.

A loving and kind woman, Ina was deeply family oriented. She believed wholeheartedly in putting family first and played an instrumental role in raising her children and multiple grandchildren. She had 18 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who loved her dearly.

Ina found joy in simple yet meaningful pursuits. She had a passion for gardening and cooking for her family and friends, always ensuring that those around her were well-fed and cared for. She also enjoyed raising livestock, embracing the hard work and dedication that came with it.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby Lane; sons James Clayton Jr. and Robert Clayton; daughter Alicia Dianne Lane-Stewart; granddaughter Mary Webb and grandson baby Jessie Stewart.

She is survived by Donna Clayton-Allen, Mary Clayton-Moulton, Brenda Lane, as well as numerous grandchildren and extended family members who will cherish her memory forever.

In her final moments, she was surrounded by love, passing peacefully with James Webb and Callie Burris by her side.
Ina’s legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to family will live on through those she nurtured and cared for throughout her life. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.

Interment will be in Holden Cemetery at a later date.
