Gene Riley Webb

Gene Riley Webb, 88 of Centerview, Missouri, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2026, at his residence.
Gene was born July 3, 1938, in Independence, Missouri, to Clarence E. and Edythe Carol (Crawford) Webb.
After graduating from William Chrisman High School, he traveled the country with his cousins as a saddle bronc rider for 12 years.
He married Darlene Bailey in 1957 in Independence. The couple lived and farmed in Lone Jack from 1960 to 1972, where they had three children, Kathy, Clint, and Stacey.
He worked at Vet Lab in Lenexa, Kansas, where he remained for more than 30 years.
Gene married Carolyn (Ingram) Dunsmore on January 22, 1983, in Centerview. They made their home on a farm in Centerview, where he continued ranching and farming.
Gene loved his horses, cattle, farming, and spending time outdoors.
He is survived by his wife: Carolyn Webb; children: Kathy Corbett (Bob); Clint Webb; Stacey Triplett (Lindon); Terri Dunsmore; Julie Norris (Marty); grandchildren: Amy Wilson; Rachel Davidson; Seth Corbett; and great grandchildren: Makenna Frock; and Deklyn Powell. Gene is preceded in death by his parents: Clarence and Carol Webb; and brother: Dean Webb.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Sunset Hill Cemetery with Minister and friend Gary Shanks officiating. Pallbearers will be Lindon Triplett; Bob Corbett; Marty Norris; Bill Dunsmore; Jerod Davidson; Seth Corbett.
