Terry Lynn Hurt, 67 of Holden Missouri passed away on Wednesday, February 05, 2025, at Lee Summit Medical Center in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
Terry was born on Wednesday, August 21, 1957, in Holden, Missouri, to the late John Sidney Hurt and Deloris Illene Watson; and was lovingly raised by Felton Ray Watson after his marriage to Deloris.
Terry lived in Holden, Missouri and went to Holden High School. Terry had one daughter; Tera Hurt.
Terry was self-employed and worked as a painter in the construction industry for many years.
Terry loved taking trips on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He loved watching the Kansas City Chiefs and was excited to see them going to the super bowl again. He also had many interests: playing pool, golfing, fishing, reading, and comparing funny socks with his niece Kali.
He was a very sociable guy, who loved life and spending time with his nieces, nephews, family, and being with friends and having a good time. His love, laughter and fun-loving personality will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents Felton and Deloris Watson, and brother; Sidney Hurt.
Surviving his passing are sisters; Maurita McCarty of Broken Arrow, OK, Shelli Gustin of Holden, MO, Kim Watson of Broken Arrow, Ok, brother; David Watson of Kingsville MO, daughter; Tera Hurt, family & caregiver; Deziray Stephens of Holden, MO, good friend & caregiver; Dan Branch of Holden, MO, nephews; Tony (Sharon) McCarty, Curtis (Tiffany) McCarty, Matthew Hurt, Nicholas (Tammy) Gustin, Christopher Watson, Joshua Watson, Cody (Kelsey) Gustin, Kevin Gustin, nieces; Serea Cayton, Kali (Walid) Islam, and great nieces; Margaret Gustin, Evelyn Gustin, Isabella Gustin.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life at 3:00 p.m. on February 15, 2025, at the Cowboy Inn 119 E. 2nd St. Holden, MO.
The family suggests In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the family, in his memory.
