Christopher Alan Jones
Christopher Alan Jones passed away peacefully on July 28, 2023 at the age of 60 at his home in Kingsville Missouri, he was survived in death by his wife, Sandy Jones of 35 years.
Born September 1, 1962 to Louis Jones and Shannon Gentry. Christopher lived his younger years between the beaches of San Diego, CA and the suburbs of Kansas City, MO where he attended Ruskin High School.
Chris is survived by his father Louis and his stepmother Lora Jones of Overland Park Kansas, brother Edward Jones; his mother Shannon and stepfather, William Gentry of Platte City Missouri, her children Danae and Husband Jeff Price, Taryn and wife Lynda Phillips, and the youngest Jessica and husband Cody Ezechiels. Many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Chris was proceeded in death, by his grandparents Ralph and Peggy Lamar and Leo and Goldie Jones.
Chris spent his early years of marriage with beloved wife Sandy, living in Raytown Missouri where he welcomed Taylor Jones into this world; mother Mini Offield. Taylor is married to Margie and blessed the family with Bria, husband Neil, and their son Able. Siblings, Meredith, Jaxson, Bella and Remi. Twins in 1997, Logan Jones of Dallas, Texas and his youngest Zachary Jones and partner Ashlyn Kelley, with their beloved daughter, Tatum of Blue Springs, Missouri.
Chris developed himself early on as a delivery driver for various industries throughout Kansas City, his more recent years in life, Chris found himself as a general contactor specializing in home renovations.
Chris enjoyed the simplicity of life and found himself often on road trips with wife Sandy or fishing at his favorite “honey-holes.” Chris enjoyed his weekends attending local estate sales and supporting close friends and their local bands. In his spare time, he could be found on his mower or organizing his shop.
Diagnosed in 2021, Chris spent the last 26 months fighting the extremely rare and sadly incurable brain cancer known as Glioblastoma. From the moment of his original diagnosis, he shocked doctors with his pursuant attitude and grateful heart. He was a fighter and spent countless weeks on the road traveling to his treatments at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota. Throughout his journey with cancer, Chris continued to defeat every statical timeline given. He fought alongside of his supportive and loving, friends, family and treatment team. Christopher loved the Lord, and his journey with Christ only strengthened throughout his challenging battle.
Christopher’s service will be held at the Langsford Funeral Home, 115 SW 3rd St, Lee’s Summit, MO 64063 on August 5, 2023 with a visitation at 9:00 a.m. and service starting at 10:00 a.m. Family has asked that any desired donations be made to the Mayo Clinic in the fight against this heartbreaking disease.
