Jack Maurice Schutt

Jack Maurice Schutt, age 71 passed away on May 26, 2024, after a long battle with cancer.

He was born on Christmas day 1952 to the late Clarence E. Schutt and Mildred (Stein) Schutt of Bay City, Michigan.

He was a graduate of Handy High School (1971) in Bay City, MI. He attended Delta college and Central Michigan University.

In 1973 he married the love of his life, Nancy J. (Evans) Schutt of Essexville, MI.

He was preceded in death by parents and his brother James E. Schutt.

He is survived by his wife Nancy J. Schutt of the home; his daughter Rebecca E. (Steven) Striley; son Patrick M (Christina) Schutt and grandchildren Ryley (Cody) Crabtree-Miller, Claire (Jacob) Crabtree-Jones, Jordan Schutt, and finance’ Abbygail Gibson and great grandchildren; Hudson D. Crabtree, Ophelia G. Crabtree-Miller, and Stella N. Jones, as well as many nieces and nephews. His brother, Donald (Diane) Schutt; sister, Karen (Robert) Vogtrmann; sister-in-law Kathy (James) Schutt; brother, Alan (Diane) Schutt, and sister, Annette (Kevin) Cawley.

Jack enjoyed a career in warehouse management and working with many people. He liked mentoring his employees and helping them grow in their careers.

He loved working and doing home improvement. Most of all, he enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren grow into wonderful adults. Jack believed everyone deserved a second chance in life and tried to be understanding of people and their circumstances.

Visitation was held at Campbell-Cast Funeral home 407 S. Pine St. in Holden, MO on Monday, June 03, 2024, with the memorial service following at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers Jack would like you to lift up someone who may need mentoring, or in need of a second chance.

The family would like to thank Village Hospice for their support and caring for Jack, especially Chris his nurse, Nia his social worker, Jenny his caretaker and many others who attended to his needs. We would also like to thank Dr. Benjamin Powers and his staff for their wonderful care during treatment.
