Barbara Lorene O’Hare

Barbara Lorene O’Hare, age 69, of Kingsville, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 12, 2026, at her home, surrounded by the love of her family.

Barbara was born on Monday, August 26, 1957, in Kansas City, Missouri, to the late William and Neoma Hamilton. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud grandmother and great-grandmother whose family was at the heart of everything she did.

Barbara was married to Larry O’Hare on November 21, 1973 in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and together they raised their two sons and two daughters, building a family and a home filled with love, memories, and the everyday moments that become the most treasured parts of life.

Barbara was a homemaker who found joy and purpose in caring for her children and making a home for her family. She gave so much of herself to those she loved, and her family was truly her greatest blessing. Whether she was crafting, sewing, tending to her garden, or spending time volunteering with the Kingsville Baseball Recreation Club, Barbara found happiness in the things she loved and the people who surrounded her. She had a special place in her heart for her family, and the time she spent with them was among her most cherished moments.

Barbara’s love for her family was woven into the life she lived and the memories she created. Though her family will deeply miss her presence, her love will remain in the lessons she taught, the traditions she shared, and the countless memories that will forever hold a special place in their hearts. The love she gave so freely will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, William and Neoma Hamilton; her husband, Larry O’Hare; and her brother-in-law, Tom Morris.
She leaves behind her loving family, including her sons, Neil O’Hare and Robert O’Hare and his wife Lauren, both of Kingsville, Missouri; her daughters, Bobbie Ruehter of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, and Patrisha O’Hare of Kingsville, Missouri; her three sisters, Debby Morris, Sandy Farrar and her husband, Kevin, and Beverly Newland and her husband, Mark.

Barbara’s legacy of love continues through her grandchildren, Meghan Stevens, Justyn O’Hare, Tyler O’Hare, Madison Wells, Jackson Wells, Jameson Ruehter, and Declan O’Hare; and her great-grandchildren, Beau Stevens, Luke Stevens, and Kasey Stevens, who brought another special kind of joy into her life.

Though saying goodbye is never easy, Barbara’s family can take comfort in knowing that the love they shared with her will never be lost. She will be remembered in the quiet moments, in family gatherings, in the things she loved to do, and in the many ways her life touched those around her. Her presence will be missed more than words can express, but her love will remain a part of her family forever.

The family will plan a Celebration of Life at a later date.
