Shawn Richard Midkiff

Shawn Richard Midkiff, 55 of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; formerly of Holden and Kingsville, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral Services were 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 29 at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden with Jeff D. O’Dell officiating.
Interment followed at the Kingsville Cemetery.
The family received friends, one hour prior to service, Wednesday at Williams.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, October 30, at Journey Church International in Lees Summit, MO. The family will receive friends at 5:00 p.m. with a service at 6:30 p.m.
Shawn was born March 1, 1970, in Warrensburg, Missouri, the son of Richard and Donna (White) Midkiff.
He was raised in Kingsville and Holden. He graduated from Holden High School and subsequently, Midwestern Baptist Seminary, as well as barber school.
He was united in marriage to Kimberly Dawn Clair on March 14, 2009, in Kingsville and the couple made their home in Lee’s Summit.
Shawn was a barber for the majority of his adult life, having attained the level of Master Barber. He was especially proud of owning and operating Shawn’s Barber Shop in Holden for several years, and and he loved his customers.
During COVID, Shawn was an over the road trucker driver. He was a very active member of Journey Church International in Lee’s Summit.
His hobbies included music, golf, and target shooting. He also loved playing his guitar and singing.
Shawn was a man of faith, and his greatest passion was sharing the gospel and leading others to Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Kimberly; parents: Richard “Rick”and Donna Midkiff; two sisters: Shannon Andes (Larry) of Holden, MO and Heather Watterson (James) of Kingsville, MO; four children: Austin Midkiff of Marshall, MO, Joshua Midkiff (Haley) of Leeton, MO, Abigail Hirschberg of Berlin, Germany, Lucas Midkiff of Leeton, MO and five grandchildren: Hazel, Alberta, Dakota, Jacob and Aurora; eight nieces and nephews, whom Shawn adored: Aaron, Mark, Hannah, Jacob and Jordan Andes and Sam, Alison and Andrea Watterson; He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Calvin “Wally” and Naomi Midkiff and his maternal grandparents: Paul and Margaret White.
Memorial Contributions may be left to the Johnson Co. Cancer Foundation in care of Williams Funeral Chapel.
