Lawrence O. Huffman
Lawrence O. Huffman, 74 of Centerview, Missouri passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025 at the VA Medical Center in Kansas City.
Lawrence was born January 25, 1951 in Kansas City, the son of Lawrence O. Huffman and Bonnie (Machon) Huffman.
He was raised in Pleasant Hill, having graduated from Pleasant Hill High.
He enlisted in the United States Army, serving in the 173rd airborne as a Green beret medic. Following his honorable discharge from active duty, he resided in Pleasant Hill until moving to a farm near Centerview in the early 90’s.
Lawrence was married to Mary Susan Prewitt and later, Lorie A. Saling. His hobbies included flying ultralights, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, guns and video gaming.
Survivors include his son: Steven Huffman (Darcy) of Centerview, MO; daughter: Stacia Huffman of Belton, MO; two brothers: Konrad Huffman of Pleasant Hill, MO and Karl Huffman of Pleasant Hill, MO; six grandchildren: Zaron Huffman, Jason Huffman, Kameran Wagner, Kyle Huffman, Kadyn Huffman and Kash Huffman and also, three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter: Mandy Huffman.
Funeral Services were Monday, July 28, at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden with Pastor Tim Whitmore officiating.
Interment followed at the Holden Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
The family received friends, prior to service, Monday at Williams.
