Evelyn Lois (Maddux) Clinger of Holden, MO passed from this life into God’s hand on June 25, 2025, at the age of 84, with her family at her side.
Evelyn was born February 18, 1941, in Quick City, MO to Harry Maddux and Martha (Atkinson) Maddux. She was raised in Quick City, MO and attended La Tour High School. She married the love of her life Robert “Bob” Clinger June 28, 1958, and moved to Holden, MO where she started their family.

She loved to bowl, fish, play cards and always had a huge garden. With all her family to feed she canned green beans, tomatoes, peppers, corn, and pickles.
Evelyn was the glue that held the family together. She took her family to church to learn about the Lord and taught them to be honest, faithful and good. She truly loved her family and will be missed.
She dedicated her early life to raising her children, she worked outside the home at various times. The most significant career she pursued was getting her beautician license in 1986. This profession was not just a job for her; she felt joy in making others feel beautiful. Evelyn treated all her clients as friends and made many long-lasting relationships.
