Gerald Wayne Barker

Gerald Wayne Barker, 83, of Holden, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025.

He was born on August 4, 1941, in Holden, Missouri, to Roy Earnest Barker and Venita May (Halsey) Barker.

He went to school in a country one-room school house in rural Holden (just a short distance from where he lived now) not in Pleasant Grove.

On May 8, 1987 Gerald was married to Bonnie Jean Jacks. Together they enjoyed country western dancing and riding motorcycles and trikes. Gerald loved to drive fast and loud cars.

Gerald retired from KCATA after 23 years in the body shop.

Gerald is preceded in death are his parents Roy Ernest and Venita May Barker, his brothers Ray Barker and Edward Barker. Gerald is survived by his devoted wife of 37 years, Bonnie Barker; his sister Sharon Moody, Odessa, MO; his son Gerald Barker, Jr; and grandchildren, Theresa Crowder, Mark Barker, and Alexander Barker.

Gerald asked to be cremated. No services at this time.
