Hazel “Norma” Gragg Callaway

Hazel “Norma” Gragg Callaway, 83, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at her home in Quincy, Missouri, surrounded by her family.

Called home by her Heavenly Father, we know she met her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and a host of loved ones for a joyous reunion.
Norma was born on Thursday, March 6, 1941, in Milo, Missouri to the late Stella Griffith and the late Seymore Gragg.

Norma grew up in Oklahoma and the Warrensburg, Missouri areas.

Norma married Robert Callaway on July 28, 1978, and together they raised three daughters and two sons.

Norma was a Nurse’s Aide for several years at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg. She then went to work at Unitog as a sewing machine operator in Warrensburg until her retirement.

She was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church in Quincy, MO, where she loved attending services every chance she could. She loved to crochet, playing board games with her family, going to garage sales and fishing. She was a kind and loving person and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Surviving her passing are her loving husband Bob Callaway of the home, three daughters; Pennie Kinney, of Quincy, MO, Jeanie McIntyre and husband Jeff of Holden, MO, and Juanita Thomas of Pensacola, Florida, two sons; Denver Ray Wood Jr. of Quincy, MO and Richard Callaway and wife Amanda of Wendall, Idaho, eleven grandchildren; Renae, Joe, Ashley, Hobie, Trey, Dalton, Hailey, Katie, Alex, Annabelle, and Eli, ten great grandchildren; Michael, Alex, Hunter, Harmony, Tristyn, Destry, Callen, Makia, Delilah, and Oliver, three sister in-laws and three brother in-laws.

Preceding her in death are her parents; Seymore Gragg and Stella Griffith, two infant babies, two granddaughters Stacy and Candy Wood, one grandson; Josh, two brothers; Ralph Gragg and Homer Gragg, two sisters; Marie Mullens and Belle Hensley, five brother in-laws Cliff, Donnie, Bill, Buddy and Johnny.

There will be a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, February 1, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at the Hopewell Baptist Church 39984 Shiloh Ave, Quincy, MO with Pastor Neil Brooke’s officiating.

Taking Norma to her final resting place at Memorial Gardens in Warrensburg, MO will be her family: Bob Callaway, Pennie Kinney, Jeanie McIntyre, Denver R. Wood Jr., and Richard Callaway.

    Norma was a kind person and we always enjoyed visiting with her and Bob. She will be missed.
