Clyde Jeannine Ogden

Clyde Jeannine Ogden, 92 of Holden, Missouri passed away Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Aspire of Oak Grove.
Clyde was born July 9, 1932 in Holden, Missouri, daughter of Reid and Lucille (Morgan) Wilson.
Clyde graduated from Holden High school in 1950. Her first job was secretary at Mussers Clothing Store in Holden. From there she worked in the clerical department at Lake City Armory.
Clyde met the love of her life, James Ray Ogden at the Top Hat in Warrensburg, Mo. They were married in Miami, Oklahoma on May 17, 1957 and resided in Holden, Mo.
In 1960 she was an airforce wife and mother overseas in Spain where her husband was stationed for three years. Coming back to the states, resided at Whiteman AFB in Knob Noster, Mo. then at Minot AFB in North Dakota. Upon returning to Holden, Clyde worked at Bell and Gudde Implement in book keeping and lastly for the Holden School District as Secretary for the Middle School until her retirement in 1993.
Clyde had many hobbies, consisting of working in the yard on her flower beds, attending her granddaughters sporting events and extracurricular activities, crossword puzzles, camping, music and singing along to her favorite band, the Bee Gees.
She loved the KC Chiefs and KC Royals, watching the games until her eyesight failed her. She loved volunteering at the Holden Senior Center and she never met a stranger. She was also a proud member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Red Hat Society.
Survivors include her son: John Ogden (Leslie); grandchildren: Lindsey Ogden; Jami Johnson (Matthew); Kelli Bossow (Dakota); great grandchildren: Rylee; Camren; Kris; Quinn; Raegan; sister-in-law: Scharlyn Heustis (William); niece: Kristy Minch (Mike) ; nephew: William Heustis Jr.
(Connie); nephew: Michael Kupsch (Debbie); and many great nieces and great nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Reid and Lucille Wilson; husband: James Ray Ogden; and sister: Sherry Ann Kupsch (Allen).
Funeral services were Friday, September 27, 2024 at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden with Pastor Dexter Snyder officiating.
Interment followed at the Holden Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Dakota Bossow, Matthew Johnson, Larry Anderson, Glen Sisk, Greg Montgomery, and Stuart Page.
Honorary pallbearers were: Sam Raber, Fred Christenson and Gene Anderson.
The family received friends prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Children’s Mercy in care of the funeral home.
