Patrick “Pat” Douglas Clarida

Patrick “Pat” Douglas Clarida, 68, died September 17, 2024, in Holden, MO.

Patrick was born February 12, 1956 in Fontainebleau, Seine-et-Marne, France. Patrick was the second child and only son of SFC Orville Douglas Clarida and wife Paulette (Cassen) Clarida.

Pat was a 1974 graduate of Warrensburg High School in Warrensburg, MO. He was married to the late Denise (Kephart) Clarida. Pat had two sons, Jeremy and Justin and one daughter Jamie.

He worked in the construction business for many years and was a self-employed contractor, and took great pride in his work, which was truly his passion. He loved growing flowers, loved to sing while working. His favorite music which he shared with his wife Denise, was bluegrass and gospel music. He was a member of Covenant Church of Holden. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Pat was preceded in death by his wife Denise (Kephart) Clarida and his parents Orville and Paulette (Cassen) Clarida.

Surviving his passing are his daughter, Jamie Schuman and husband Jesse of Pleasant Hill, MO. son; Jeremy Calhoun of Holden, MO. son; Justin Clarida of Holden MO. sisters; Joanne Shrout and husband David of Independence, MO, Catherine Moore and husband Alan of Springfield, MO.

grandchildren; Noah Shuman, Milo Clarida, Harley Schuman, and Payton Schuman and great-grandchild; Luella Reign Schuman.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life service, at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Covenant Church of Holden in Holden, MO.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Covenant Church Building Fund: Covenant Church of Holden, 298 NW MO-131 Holden, MO 64040.
