Helen R. Buck

Helen R. Buck, 83 of Holden, Missouri passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024 at her home.
Helen was born April 27, 1941 in Hogeye, Arkansas the fourth of five children of Earnest Noble Yell and Jewel May (Norris) Yell.
She graduated from high school in West Fork, Arkansas. She resided in Prairie Grove, Arkansas prior to moving to Kansas City in 1969.
Helen was united in marriage to John I. Buck on September 1, 1972 in Kansas City. The couple moved to the Holden area in 1997. She was a registered nurse for many years.
She was District First Aid Director and Commissioner with Boy Scouts, Blue Elk District. She also was a member of German Shepherd Club of Kansas City, American Kennel Club of Kansas City, and the Holden Saddle Club. She attended Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter: Dianna M. Buck of Holden, MO; four grandchildren: Hannah Swartwood of Blue Springs, MO; Cheyenne Vergara (Robert) of Wichita, KS; Olivia Buck of Wichita, KS and Dakota Buck of Clinton, MO; four great grandchildren: Octavia Noel, Memphis Landon, Leo Erasmo, Peyton Channing and another on the way, Rhiannon Veda Inez. She was preceded in death by her parents, four siblings, husband, John and son, Terry.
Funeral Services were held Saturday, September 21, at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden with Pastor L. David Mortenson officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery at Raytown.
The family received friends from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Williams Chapel.
