Gary Keith Davis

Gary Keith Davis, 82 of Chilhowee, Missouri passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Country Club Care Center in Warrensburg, where he had resided for the past two months.

Gary was born January 16, 1942, at the home, in Orrick, Missouri to Lawrence and Evelyn (Hupman) Davis.
After graduating from Holden High School, he continued to farm with his brother, Paul. Upon moving to Chilhowee, he had a small engine/tractor shop.

Gary’s passion was buying old John Deere tractors and restoring them back to life. He showed his tractors at many shows including the Missouri State Fair.

He married Sharon West on September 10, 1989 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Chilhowee. The couple lived on the Albin/West family farms, raising crops, cattle and son and grandsons.

Gary was a member of the Chilhowee Volunteer Fire Dept. as well as a founding member of the Chilhowee Antique Farm Machinery Collectors Organization. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. His favorite time was getting together with his great granddaughters.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon; son: Matt (Mandi) West, Sr.; grandsons: Matthew (Kyla) West, Jr.; Richard (Apri) West and great granddaughters: Emersys, Parker and Kingsley; sister: Mary Lockard and brothers: Ralph (Carol) Davis and Ray (Sandy) Davis; sister-in-law: Betty Davis and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; baby sister, Laura and brother, Paul Davis.

Graveside Services took place Wednesday, February 7 at Carpenter Cemetery, west of Chilhowee. Pallbearers were be Richard West, Brian Davis, Kevin Davis, Donald Daugherty, Ernie Wilson, and Ethan Southers. An honorary pallbearer was Matt West, Jr.

Memorial contributions may be left to the family, in care of funeral home.
