Douglas Alan Elsloo

Douglas Alan Elsloo, 62, of Holden, MO passed away unexpectedly on October 31, 2023, at his home.

Doug was born to Howard and Caroll (Faulkenberry) Elsloo on September 19, 1961, in Independence, MO. His hometown being Raytown, MO where he graduated from Raytown South High School in 1979. He continued his education at Longview Community College in Lee’s Summit, MO where he received a degree in business.

He met the future love of his life, Tambri Bredemeier in 1970, and the couple married on June 25, 1992, in Independence, MO.

The couple moved to Kansas City, MO where they lived for 5 years before moving to Holden in 1997.

Doug and Tambri were blessed with 5 children with one infant son passing away at birth. Doug was a music teacher and taught private lessons at Brillhart Music for twenty years. He played in the family’s Bluegrass band “The Back Porch Gang” for several years. His family was originally from Holland and the town Elsloo was named after his great grandfather.

His favorite hobby was gardening, and he loved being able to grow his own vegetables. His favorite holiday was Halloween and loved everything about it.

Preceding Doug in death were: his parents, Howard and Caroll; infant son Thomas Henry; maternal grandparents James and Opel Faulkenberry; paternal grandparents Cornelius and Alice Elsloo; father-in-law Marvin Bredemeier.

Surviving his passing are his wife Tambri, of the home; son Timothy (Samantha) Elsloo of Kingsville, MO; daughters Nikol Talley of Kingsville, MO, Katherine (Cory) Ducharme of Harrisonville, MO, Sarabeth (Brian) Anderson of Fletcher, Ok; brothers Jeffrey (Karen) Elsloo of Kansas City, MO, Randall (Lynn) Elsloo of Blue Springs, MO; grandchildren Jorja, Madisyn, Izabella, Dalton, Rosalyn, Elizabeth, and Jocelyn; and mother-in-law Norma Bredemeier.

The family will hold a Memorial Service at Powell Gardens, 1609 NW US 50 Hwy, Kingsville, MO 64061 on Sunday November 19, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.
