Douglas Graham Chaney
Douglas Graham Chaney, 41 of Holden, Missouri passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023 in Pleasant Hill, Missouri.
Doug was born October 12, 1981 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Delbert G. Chaney and Beverly J. (Sager) Chaney.
He graduated from Lone Jack High School. He made his home in Raytown and Kansas City prior to moving to Holden.
Doug was employed with KTI Cement Casting and later, Pretec Concrete Castings. He also was an expert tile layer. He was in the Scouts, with his dad, for seven years. He enjoyed anything involving the outdoors, from bird watching to hunting mushrooms in the spring. Doug was an avid K C Chiefs fan. He raised Jalepeno and ghost peppers for creating hot sauces. His hobbies also included the internet and gaming. He was especially fond of his black cat, Ninja. He took great pride in honing his grilling skills.
Survivors include his mother: Beverly Chaney of Holden, MO; father: Delbert Chaney (Dona) of Pleasant Hill, MO; two sisters: Bridget Brill (Pat) of Grain Valley, MO and Danielle Holmes (Jason) of Blue Springs, MO; step sister: Andrea Brenner (Tom) of St. Charles, MO; step brother: Bart Fellwock (Sarah) of Kansas City, MO; three nieces: Brooke Brill, Paige Brill and Natalie Holmes and several step nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Homer and Aileen Chaney and maternal grandparents: Frank and Bonnie Sager.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 28 at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden.
There will be a private interment at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial Contributions may be left to International Dyslexia Association of Kansas and Missouri in care of the funeral home.
