At 4:14pm on Monday, 8/21/2023, God called Bob Anderson home to heaven.
Born 11/20/1933 in KCMO in his family home at 47th & Troost, to parents Vernie Newton Anderson and Elnora Christine (Cox) Anderson.
Attended Graceland Grade School KCMO through 7th grade. Attended Paseo High School for 8th grade. Family moved to Holden, MO where he finished & graduated High School.
He won a scholarship to the KC Art Institute and attended CMSU in Warrensburg.
US Naval Air Force Reserve from 1952 – 1960.
Owned Standard Oil Service Station in Holden MO for a number of years.
Worked at Bendix, KCMO for 15 yrs; 22 years at Stahls Specialty Co in Kingsville MO as a supervisor in Quality Control where he retired in 1995.
4/30/1955 married Donna Marie Jasper in Holden. Together they had three children. She preceded him in death on 5/21/1994.
3/4/1995 married Daisy Jean Simmons Clemens in Warrensburg, where they resided until his passing.

Survived by wife: Daisy Jean Simmons Clemens Anderson, Warrensburg, MO; sister: Judy Anderson, Belton, TX; children: Leslie (John) Ogden, Blue Springs, MO, Larry Anderson, Centerview, MO, Lori Anderson, Kansas City, MO; grandchildren: Lindsey Ogden Blue Springs, MO, Jami (Matthew) Johnson Lone Jack, MO, Kelli (Dakota) Bossow Lone Jack, MO, Malcolm (Lauralei) Perkins Amherstview, Ontario, Canada; great grandchildren: Rylee Flesner, Kris Johnson, Bentley East, Camren Nelson, Lucas Perkins, Quinn Bossow, Raegan Bossow; stepchildren: Randy Clemens (Shellie Scott) Oklahoma, Timothy (Lori) Clemens Blue springs, Gina Clemens Phoenix, AZ, step-grandchildren: Jamee (Matthew) McNally, Amy (Daniel) Rasmussen Blue Springs, six step great grandchildren: Mason, Camden, Addison, Lily, Luke, Tessa, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Bob enjoyed singing at many weddings, loved to paint, loved fishing and camping at Pomme de Terre. He loved metal detecting and hunting. He spent many years traveling to all 50 states as well as Canada.
He was a charter member of the JC’s and Holden Missouri, spending a year as president. He was a member of the American Legion, Chamber of Commerce, and the Martin Warren chapter of the Sons of American Revolution. He spent many years as member of Holden Baptist Church singing in the choir. In recent years he was a member of Grover Park Baptist Church in Warrensburg, Missouri.
Funeral services were Friday, August 25, 2023 at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden with Rev. Ernie Cecil officiating. Burial followed at the Holden Cemetery with military honors provided by the Munday-Hancock Post #90 of the American Legion, VFW Post #5844, and the United States Navy Honor Guard.
Pallbearers included: Shane Brooks, Matthew Johnson, Dakota Bossow, Stephen Jasper, Mitchell Jasper,Amber Chesisi/Matt Chesisi.
Honorary Pallbearers were: Herb Thomason, Ray Timmons, Elton Adams, Dale Corkran, Gene Anderson, Glenn Borum, Jared Jasper, Heath Brooks, Francis Brillhart, Jaz Franklin, Stanley Stark, and Sam Raber.
The family received friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Holden Cemetery Association or contributors choice.
