Duston Lee Hite

Duston Lee Hite passed away unexpectedly April 6, 2023 at the age of 41 while OTR in New Jersey.

Duston was born March 6, 1982 in Lee’s Summit, MO to David Hite and Doris Gemes.

He grew up in Holden, MO and graduated from Holden High School in 2000. After high school, he pursued a career in OTR Truck Driving just like his Grandpa Hite. Duston enjoyed and loved being a truck driver. He also loved spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all that knew him.

Duston is survived by his fiancé of 11 years Kari Grego; their dog, Red; his step-sons Luke Gary (Gracie), Anthony Velazquez; his daughters Kaylee and Elwyn Hite; his 2 grandsons Joseph and Jackson Gary; his sister Melynda Chaffin (Will) niece Mary and nephew Dallas Chaffin; mother and stepfather Lyndel and Doris Gemes. He is preceded in death by his father, David Hite; Grandpa Lloyd and Grandma Sarah Hite.

Celebration of Life will be Saturday August 19, 2023 from 2-5:00 p.m. at the Holden CAC, 100 S Market Holden, MO.
