Holden Track And Field Teams Compete At Warrensburg Meet

The Holden track and field teams competed at the Warrensburg Open Meet on Tuesday, March 28 with Eagle athletes capturing multiple top placings.
First-place finishers on the Lady Eagles team included Adalyn Campbell in the 400m dash, and Kia Harmon in the high jump.
Harmon added a second-place finish in the 100m dash, and third-place finishes in both the long jump and triple jump.
Marah Klover placed second in the high jump, Gracie Carver placed second in the 400m dash, and pole vaulter Addilyn Wooster finished in second place in the event.
Third-place finishes in events were recorded by K’Lea Westover in the 400m dash, Alli Iles in the 800m run, and Chloe Hernan in the shot put. Lilee Keller placed third in both the 100m hurdles, and the 300m hurdles.
For the Eagle boys team, Tyler Hankins placed first in both the high jump, and the pole vault.
Zach Willis finished in first place in the 1600m run, and placed second in both the 800m run, and the 3200m run.
Masyn Powell placed first in the 110m hurdles, and second in the 300m hurdles.
Second place finishers included Cole Zillner in the high jump, Rett Hankins in the 1600m run, and Marshall Doogs in the discus.
Reco Jenkins finished in third place in the triple jump, and Jayden Ring recorded a third-place finish in the pole vault.
Top Showings Displayed By Holden Track And Field Teams At Odessa Meet
The Eagles and Lady Eagles track and field teams competed at the Odessa Invitational Meet on Friday, March 31 with Masyn Powell and Tyler Hankins from the boys team, and Adalyn Campbell from the girls team leading the way with first-place finishes.
Powell gathered first-place finishes in both the 110m hurdles, and the 300m hurdles races. Powell timed out at 16.33 seconds in 110m distance, and 42.22 seconds in the 300m race.
Hakins placed first in the high jump by clearing 1.8m. Holden high jumper Cole Zillner also cleared 1.8m with Hankins winning in the tie-breaker.
Distance runner Zach Willis recorded two third-place finishes with bronze medal placings in both the 1600m run, and the 3200m run.
Campbell’s took first-place finishes for the Lady Eagles team in both the 200m dash, and the 400m dash. The freshman sprinter clocked out at 27.46 in the 200m, and took over a second off of her previous best 400m time by timing out at 1:01 at Odessa.
Lady Eagle runner Gracie Carver placed second in the 400m dash with a time of 1:04.
Jazzy Brown placed second in the 200m dash with a time of 27.99 seconds.
High jumper Kia Harmon recorded a second-place finish in the event with a height of 1.6m. Marah Klover placed third in the high jump by clearing 1.5m
This Thursday, April 6, the Holden high school track and field teams host the Holden Invitational Meet with a start time of 4 p.m.
