Kingsville Tigers Basketball Teams Close Out Regular Season

The Kingsville boys basketball team closed out the final week of regular season play by recording wins over Hardin-Central and Hume.
In the quarterfinal round of the Class 1, District 9 Boys Basketball Tournament, the Tigers fell to Pilot Grove.
Tigers Trounce Bulldogs
Playing at the road versus the Hardin-Central Bulldogs, Kingsville recorded a 66-58 win on Tuesday, Feb. 14.
The Tigers set the tone in the game by working to a comfortable 40-18 halftime lead.
Brady Stout led the Tigers in scoring with 28 points. John Fleeman scored 15 points. Stout and Fleeman each had 6 rebounds. Brock Truby had 7 assists in the game.
Tigers Sting Hume In Overtime
The Kingsville boys basketball team’s regular season finale against Hume pushed into an overtime period with the Tigers clawing to a 71-64 home win on Friday, Feb. 17.
“Kingsville had a 13-point lead at the half, but Hume took the lead with five seconds left,” said Kingsville boys basketball head coach Bill Adams. “Brady Stout got fouled with less than a second left, and sank two free throws to send the game into overtime. The Tigers outscored the Hornets 14-7 in the overtime to prevail 71-64.”
For Kingsville, Fleeman led in scoring with 22 points. Stout totaled 17 points. Brayden Barnett scored 14 points.
Fleeman had 13 rebounds. Barnett had 7 assists.
District Quarterfinal Against Pilot Grove
The season came to a close for the Kingsville boys basketball team in a 54-47 loss to Pilot Grove in the quarterfinal round of the Class 1, District 9 Boys Basketball Tournament on Monday, Feb. 20.
“After a hot start for Kingsville, Pilot Grove found its footing,” said coach Adams.
For Kingsville, Fleeman scored 14 points. Barnett totaled 12 points. Stout scored 11 points.
The Kingsville boys basketball team ends the season with an overall record of 15-12.
Lady Tigers Basketball Season Comes To Close
The Kingsville girls basketball team recorded a road win over Hardin-Central by the final score of 38-32 on Tuesday, Feb. 14, during the final week of the season for the Lady Tigers.
Playing in the final game of the regular season, the Lady Tigers fell at home to Hume by the final score of 47-17 on Friday, Feb. 17.
The season came to a close for the Lady Tigers basketball team in a 34-31 loss to Chilhowee in the quarterfinal round of the Class 1, District 8 Girls Basketball Tournament at Green Ridge High School on Tuesday, Feb. 21.
The Kingsville girls basketball team ends the season with an overall record of 9-18.
