Holden Track And Field Results From Warrensburg Meet

The Holden high school track and field teams competed at the six-team Warrensburg Meet on Tuesday, March 29.
Lady Eagle thrower Liz Stout captured first place in the shot put with a season-best distance of 11.43m. The senior also took first place in the discus with a toss of 28.9m.
Klara Tschoepe placed second in the javelin with a throw of 31.03m, and was followed by Stout who placed third in the event.
Senior Peyton Kilgore placed fourth in the discus.
Also in field events, freshman Izzy Guinn cleared a season-best height of 2.3m to place second in the pole vault.
On the track, Guinn teamed up with sophomore Kimmie Spring, sophomore Rachel Wamsley, and freshman Kia Harmon in the 4x100m relay for a third-place finish in the race which marked the Lady Eagles’ top relay finish.
Individually, Harmon placed third in the high jump, third in the long jump, and fourth in the 100m dash.
Junior Gracie Carver placed third in the 800m run with a time of 2:40.
Sophomore Clara Hernan placed fifth in the 200m dash.
In the 400m dash, senior Emma Lohe placed fifth.
Junior Alli Iles turned in a fourth-place finish in the 1600m run.
Hurdler Millie Davidson placed third in the 300m hurdles. The junior placed fourth in the 100m hurdles race.
For the Holden boys team, senior Brian Johnson placed fourth in the 400m dash with a time of 53.50 seconds.
Johnson joined freshman Jacob Andes, sophomore Reco Jenkins, and junior Wally Walker on Holden’s 4x100m relay team which placed second for the Eagles top relay performance.
Johnson, Walker, freshman Sam Comer, and senior Michael Rinella carried the baton to a third-place finish in the 4x400m relay.
Individually, Rinella recorded a season-best time of 2:13 to place second in the 800m run.
Jenkins placed third in both the long jump, and the triple jump.
Junior Tyler Hankins took first place in the pole vault with a height of 3.05m, and placed second in the high jump. Pole vaulters Wyatt Doutt and Jayden Ring placed third and fourth, respectively.
Freshman Cole Zillner placed third in the high jump.
Junior Zach Willis placed third in the 3200m run. Freshman Rett Hankins placed fourth in the 3200m run, and sixth in the 1600m race.
Freshman Daniel Mailath placed sixth in the 110m hurdles.
Senior Garrett Abel placed fourth in the discus, and turned in a sixth-place finish in the 200m dash.
Sophomore Marshall Doogs turned in Holden’s top javelin finish on the boys side with a fourth-place showing. Doogs placed fifth in both the shot put, and the discus.
