The Holden girls wrestling team competed at the Lady Mustangs Christmas Clash hosted by Eldon High School on Friday, and Saturday, December 17-18.
The Lady Eagles turned in a 12th-place amid the field of 21 teams, and were led by junior Aubree Castaneda who turned in a second-place finish in the 194-pound competition.
Castaneda swept through her five pool matches with five wins.
Castaneda disposed of Battle wrestler Anyha Cain in a win by fall for Castaneda.
In the first-place match, Castaneda fell by pin to Tipton wrestler Lily Burns.
Also in a top performance for Holden, Alex VanHooser placed third in her 235-pound weight bracket.
Lee totaled two wins, and one loss on the day.
Lady Eagle wrestler GiGi Jones wrestled to a fifth-place finish in the 149-pound weight class. Jones won a 4-3 decision over Rolla wrestler Belle Witham in the fifth-place match.
Lady Eagle wrestler Jordan Sylvester placed 12th at the Lady Mustangs Christmas Clash.
