The Holden boys wrestling team kicks off the 2021-22 season this week with a busy schedule.

Nineteen wrestlers were set to begin the season grind with a meet at Center High School on Tuesday earlier this week, a meet at Butler on Wednesday, and the annual Knob Noster Tournament this Saturday, Dec. 4.

Sixteenth-year head coach John Jones enters the season with roster numbers up, and returning state medalists Logan Yoder and Daylen Greene ready to guide the team.

“The keys to our success will come from the internal leadership of the wrestlers,” says coach Jones, who defines leadership and success on many levels. “I enjoy working with the kids, and helping them develop into the adults they are meant to be.”
