2021 Fall Sports Wrap-Up

Third baseman Liz Stout (left) led the Lady Eagles with 6 home runs this season. Pitcher Maddie Sechrest (right) recorded 9 wins and 68 strikeouts this season. The Holden softball team finished the season as district champions.
A valid and valuable question to ask at the end of any sports season is, “Am I better off after having had the experience?”
To be certain, at the conclusion of any sports season, those involved – players, coaches, parents, fans – certainly hope that they are in fact better from the experience.
Better from participating, better from the opportunity to teach, better from showing their support through the rigors of any given sports season.
This year’s Holden fall sports teams of cross country, softball, volleyball, and football each worked through the sequence from off season work, to the first day of practice, to their final competition as they all showed signs of trending upward.
They all showed signs of being better from the experience, better from the nexus of each sport’s season.
