Kingsville cross country runners Ryan Bailey, Talitha Hart, Laci Collens, and Brayden Barnett competed at the Class 1 Cross Country State Championships at Gans Creek Cross Country Course on Saturday, November 6.

Tigers senior runner Ryan Bailey ran to a 13th-place all-state finish with a season-best time of 17:32. This year’s top-25 finish gives the four-time state qualifier, and team leader of the Kingsville cross country program the second all-state medal of his career. Last year, Bailey placed 21st at the state meet as he and graduated senior twins Luke and Grant Engel each placed in the top-25 to give the Tigers three all-state runners at the 2020 meet. “It’s bittersweet…so excited to see how well he finished out the season,” said Kingsville cross country head coach Lee Smith.
