Tina Marie Howard Stephens

Tina Marie Howard Stephens, age 64, of Holden, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, June 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Tina was born on October 29, 1961, in Kansas City, Kansas, to the late Melvin Harley Howard and Beatrice Elizabeth (Sutton) Howard.

She grew up in the Kansas City area and attended Wyandotte High School. Tina lived in Kansas until moving to Tennessee in 2009, where she resided until 2011. She then made her home in Holden, Missouri, where she remained for the rest of her life. In 1989, she met the love of her life, Terry Stephens, and together they spent nearly four decades building a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.

Tina found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved playing board games, watching her favorite soap operas and game shows, and trying her luck at the casino. Above all else, Tina treasured her family. The time she spent with those she loved most brought her the greatest happiness, and her devotion to her family was evident in everything she did.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Beatrice Howard; her daughter, Lisa Malone; and her brother, Melvin Howard.

Tina is survived by her beloved husband, Terry Stephens, of the home; her sons, Terry Stephens II and wife, Laura, and Steven Stephens; her daughters, Samantha Howard, Crystal Malone and husband, Jared McFarland, and Vanessa Williams; her brothers, Ronald Howard and wife, Karen, Christopher Howard, and Matthew Howard; and her sister, Katherine Howard-Honeywell and husband, Doug.

She also leaves to cherish her memory her grandchildren, Michael Howard, Ashley Pape, Harley King-Honeywell, Austin Gardner, Franklin Gardner, and Cooper Best; her great-grandson, Alexander Devers; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her greatly.
No services are planned at this time. A celebration of Tina’s life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the family in care of Terry Stephens, 104 N. Cockrell Street, Holden, Missouri 64040.
