Doug M. Warren

Doug M. Warren, 75 of Holden, Missouri passed away Friday, September 5, 2025 at his home.
Douglas Maxwell Warren was born July 29, 1950 in Clinton, Missouri, the son of Louis Walker Warren and Alice Lillian (Warner) Warren.
He graduated from Holden High School, Class of 1969. He was a lifelong Holden area resident.
Doug was united in marriage to Marilyn “Kay” Jones on February 14, 1969 in Holden.
He traded horses for seven years and next, worked for Frank Gurney Construction for 18 years. Later, he owned and operated Doug Warren Construction. He was employed with Americo Environmental for seven years. In 1988, Doug started Bear Creek Trading Company.
He was a member and recognized artist of the Contemporary Long rifle Association and lifelong enthusiast of Black Powder and the history that went with it. He spent many years teaching Black powder rifle classes. He was a member of the Ft Osage Muzzle Loaders.
Other hobbies included derby cars, race cars, tractor pulls, pony pulling, draft horse pulling and showing Hit & Miss Engines.
Doug was also a longtime member of Holden Masonic Lodge #262, A.F. & A.M., where he was a Master Mason since 1999.
Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Kay; son: Douglas (Kendra) Warren of Holden, MO; two daughters: Shelly (Tom) D’Angelo of Fayetteville, MO; and Jammie Adam) Hibner of Holden, MO; 8 grandchildren: Colt Warren; Cheyenne Burton; Ramsey Tillotson; Dakota Warren; Kailee Hibner; Elle Wilson; Dalton Pine; Briar Hibner; six great grandchildren and another on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents: Louis and Alice Warren; and a brother: Doyne Warren.
A Masonic Service was held Tuesday, September 9, at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden; immediately followed by a memorial service.
Honorary Pallbearers were: Scott Strohmeyer, Hubert Newman, Roy McClellan, and Jack Garner.
The family received friends, prior to service Tuesday at Williams.
