Linda Sue Johnson

Linda Sue Johnson, 74 of Holden, Missouri passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at her home.

Linda was born August 2, 1951 in Hamburg, Iowa, daughter of George Thomas and Virginia Leah (Maupin) Erb.

She was raised in Iowa and graduated from Hamburg High School. In the late 80s, Linda moved to Nebraska, several times between Independence and Chicago, and eventually Holden in 2010.

Her employment history includes several Casey’s gas stations, store manager of Church’s Chicken, KFC, Taco Bell, Burger King, and most recently the Holden Manor Care Center. She volunteered at the fire department in Riverton, Iowa and was involved in the Cub Scouts of Riverton, Holden Lake Community, Holden Senior Center, and Women’s Fire Association.

Linda is survived by her sons: Brad Detrick (Katherine) of Independence, MO; Brian Detrick (Rachel) of Oskaloosa, IA; Brandon Detrick (Chelsea) of Platte City, MO; brothers: Jerry Erb (Ann) of Los Angeles, CA; Leslie Erb of Nebraska; 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; and sister: Cindy Davis.

The family received friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 7, 2025 at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden.

Interment followed at the Wesley Chapel Cemetery with Pastor L. David Mortenson officiating.
