Virginia R. Miller

Virginia R. Miller, 91 of Holden, Missouri passed away Friday, January 10, 2025 at Villages of Jackson Creek in Independence, Missouri.
Virginia was born May 15, 1933 in Collins, Missouri, the daughter of David and Rosa (McNelley) Baker. She graduated from High School in 1951 at Osceola, Missouri.
Virginia was united in marriage to Robert L. “Bob” Miller on November 5, 1952 in Lowry City. To this union, four children were born: Robert “Bob”, Jr.; Diana Lynn; David Neal and Jeffery Scot. They lived in Kansas City and several other places before moving to Holden in 1975. Virginia enjoyed the farm life, cooking big dinners for the family, gardening and her flowers.
Survivors include two sons: Bob, Jr. and wife, Anita and Jeff; daughter-in-law: Becky Swopes; six grandchildren: Steve Miller, Amy Walker (John), Holly Jester (Matt), Amanda Miller, Travis Miller and Kyle Miller (Elizabeth); eleven great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Miller; five brothers: Fred, Alva, Paul, Delbert and Dale Baker and five sisters: Opal Cooper, Ethel Mathiesen, Dora Nance, Viola McCoy and Mildred Hopkins.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 16 at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden, with Pastor Dale Campbell of Church of Hope officiating. Interment will follow at the Lowry City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends, one hour prior to service, Thursday at Williams.
Memorial contributions may be left to Church of Hope in care of the funeral home.
