Sondra Kay Moore, 65 of Holden, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at Lee’s Summit Medical Center in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

She was born on Wednesday, February 25, 1959, in Harrisonville, Missouri, to the late Stevenson Boyle and Myrna (Brown) Boyle. Sondra was a graduate of Kingsville High School, class of 1977. In 1981 she married Bart Moore, and they had nearly 44 wonderful years of marriage. Sondra was a lifelong resident of the area. Sondra was very involved with her family. She was always involved with horses and other livestock, starting at a young age.

She continued her love of animals with her daughter’s 4-H animal shows. Sondra was a relatively quiet small-town person.

She loved being around her family and friends and was especially fond of her grandkids. Sondra worked several jobs in the Holden area throughout her life including the Holden Manor, Holden Manufacturing, and the local greenhouse in Holden.

Other than working several jobs around town, Sondra was primarily a domestic housewife.

Sondra’s love and compassion for other people and animals will greatly be missed by all those who loved and knew her. Surviving her passing are husband: Bart Moore; son, Steven (Trisha) Moore; daughter, Kimberly (Jared) Bowens; brother, Flint Boyle; sisters, Rhonda Boyle, Patti Steward, Karen (Travis) Phillips, six grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other family members.

Sondra is preceded in death by her parents; Stevenson Boyle and Myrna (Brown) Boyle.
