Norman J. Cornwell

Norman J. Cornwell, 77 of Holden, Missouri entered into the presence of our Lord on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024, at home.
Norman was born August 13, 1947, in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Norman A. Cornwell and Margaret L. (Cushman) Sanders.
Norman graduated on May 28,1965 from Rosedale High School in Kansas City, Kansas. He went on to work at the Vendo Planta after graduating high school.
Norman went on to serve his country by joining the Army on May 13, 1968 through May 13,1970. During his time of enlistment Norman served in the Vietnam war.
He was united in marriage to Sybil Irene Brown on Nov. 15, 1974, at First Christian Church in Harrisonville, Missouri. The couple resided in the Kingsville and Holden Missouri area, where they created a beautiful life and family.
Norman and Sybil were members of Friendship Baptist Church. They were involved in sharing the gospel through Faithrider Ministry.
Norman is preceded in death by his father, Norman A. Cornwell, mother, Margaret L. Sanders, half-brother, Ronald Cornwell, stepbrother Benny and stepsister Dolores and his oldest son Kenneth Cornwell.
He is survived by his wife Sybil Cornwell, sons, Richard Cornwell, Christopher Cornwell. Justin Cornwell, numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved grandchildren.
The family received friends at the Campbell Cast Funeral Home from Friday, Nov. 15, 2024, with the funeral service following.
Burial with Military Honors followed at the Duncan Cemetery in Kingsville, MO.
Pallbearers were Tristan Cornwell, Dylan Cornwell, Christopher Cornwell, Cadyn Gustin, Richard Cornwell and Justin Cornwell.
