Jonathan Daniel Bedford

Jonathan Daniel Bedford (Jon), 53, of Holden, Missouri passed away suddenly due to cardiac arrest on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at the University of Iowa (UI) Health Center in Iowa City, Iowa.
Jon was born on Friday, March 26, 1971 in Warrensburg, Missouri, to the late Lloyd Bedford Jr. and Joyce (Cole) Bedford. Jon was a graduate of Holden High School, class of 1989. He also obtained his Master Electrician’s license.
Jon lived his entire life at the family farm in Holden. He was a lifetime master electrician. When not doing electrical work Jon loved to be outdoors. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and was a part of the KC Dune Buggy club with his dune buggy that he cherished.
Jon spent his weekends camping and when doing so he would treat his dogs to cheeseburgers at McDonald’s.
Jon was a family man and never missed his children’s events at school. Four months ago, Jon was blessed to gain a new title of “Grandpa Jon” when baby JJ was born. He could not let go of JJ at any family event. JJ was the light of his life.
Though Jon’s passing was unexpected, he was generous in the gift of life by having his kidneys and liver donated to assist those individuals in need.
