Stanley William Stark

Stanley William Stark was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 31, 1939, to Harry William Stark and Opat Inez (Wolfe) Stark.

He was baptized at an early age in Chicago, Illinois.

He lived in many different states: Illinois, Arkansas, Alaska, Colorado, Kansas and Missouri.
He graduated from Holden High School on May 22, 1957.

Stanley enlisted in the United States Air Force serving his country in the 55th Armament Electronic Maintenance Squad as a Photo Repairman from September 24, 1959 to September 23, 1963.

During this time he was wed to Patricia Garnet (Conley) Stark on March 19, 1961 in Denver, Colorado.

In Holden, Missouri he settled to raise his family before ending up in Odessa.

He served in his church as a Deacon starting August 13, 1972. At the Holden Manor he taught Sunday School and sang.

He tested cows’ milk for the farmers (DHIA tester), worked at Royal Industries, retired from Stahls, then went back to work at Walmart creating many long lasting friendships.

His passion was gardening and sharing produce with others, being outside and helping anyone in need.

Stanley is survived by his wife, Patricia Stark of Odessa MO.

He is preceded in death by son, James William Stark, survived by wife Polly Stark of Kansas City, MO.

Also, he is survived by son, Kent Stark and his children: Hanna Stark of Bloomington, IL; Janette (Stark) Phifer, (husband Leon), and their grandchildren: Ja’Aira Davis, Ra’Jair Davis, Harlen Ziona Davis and Roger 3rd Davis of Decatur, IL; Anthony Smithson of Holden, MO, Isaiah Stark, wife Holly of Holden and their children: Kierstin Ferguson, husband Zachary, and Cooper Redhair of Holden, MO; Angelica Warren, husband Tyler and their children: Mason and Lydia of Holden, MO.

He is also survived by daughter, Sheryl (Stark) Baldwin, husband Orlo, son James Walter, of Rockaway Beach, OR; and daughter Christina (Stark) Stowers, husband Chris, and their children: Keilan, Braxton, Kelsey, and Liam of Odessa, MO.

Also surviving are brother Kelly Stark, wife Kay, children and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by sister, Doris (Stark) Bowlin;brother-in-law. Leon Bowlin, and his son and granddaughters and many more family members and friends.

Stanley has left an indelible mark on countless lives. He will be greatly, greatly missed, but his memory will continue to inspire us all and live through many generations to come.
