Jesse William “Bill” Iles

Jesse William “Bill” Iles, 78 of Kingsville, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at his home.

He was born Sunday, October 28, 1945, and was the son of the late James “Jim” Iles and the late Ruby (Faulken) Iles. He was the husband of Marylan “Jewell” (Dollard) Iles. They were happily married for over 50 years. They made their home in Kingsville, Missouri and raised three children together, Billy, Michelle and Wesley. His beloved wife Jewell Iles preceded him in death on November 20, 2023.

Bill attended Basin Knob School and went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from UMKC. He enjoyed computers and became an IT professional as an engineer, working for Western Electric and AT&T.

He attended Strasburg Baptist Church and enjoyed going to church. When Bill wasn’t working, he spent a lot of time outside. He was at peace when outdoors tinkering and enjoying his acreage.

Family was also important to Bill. He loved spending time with family and especially his grandchildren. Bill was a talker and loved socializing with friends.

He was a generous man and loved helping people. He loved his wife and took care of her until her very last breath. He will be missed by friends and family.

Those left to cherish his memory are one son, Wesley Iles of Kingsville; nine grandchildren, Austin, Alli, Jeramiah, Sabrina, Alexandria, Tabitha, Amber, Ashley, Alec; and many great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one son, James “Billy” Iles; one daughter, Teresa “Michelle” (Iles) Atwell; one brother and two sisters.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 9, 2024, in the Floral Hills East Memorial Gardens (25203 E. US Highway 50 Lee’s Summit, MO 64086) with Pastor Rick Lewis officiating.
