Mike Bradbury
Mike Bradbury was born on April 28, 1969 and passed away 6/21/2026. He was the son of Claude and Pat Bradbury. Mike was preceded in death by his infant son, baby Levi; sister Debra Selz; aunt Penny Lynn Irvine; and dad Claude Bradbury. Mike is survived by two children: Madelyn Grace and Micah Thomas of Bradenton, Fla.; sister Peggy Couch and son Daniel of Pleasant Hill, Mo; grandson Zach Selz of Pleasant Hill, son of Debra Selz; mom Pat Bradbury of Pleasant Hill; aunt Lorraine Rhoades; aunt Nancy Jo Jennings, both of Holden; plus, numerous cousins, both Hancock and Bradbury; and a world of friends.
Mike made friends wherever he lived – Holden, Bradenton, Fla., Lansing, Michigan, Charlotte, N.C. and Wisconsin. Mike attended the Holden School, then at the age of 8 years old, the family moved to Bradenton, Fla. Mike graduated Manatee High, attended U.F., SUF, MCC; and Florida State. Mike graduated from Florida State with a degree in Criminal Law. He attended Lansing School of Law and graduated with a doctorate degree. Mike moved to Charlotte, N.C. where he opened his law office for several years. He retired from US Bank as their lead attorney. Mike moved back to Bradenton, Fla., then moved back to Holden to help care for his mother.
Mike was baptized in the Community of Christ Church at the age of 8, his dad was baptized at that time as well, by his cousin Lloyd Hancock, where he attended the Bradenton/Sarasota Community of Christ Church.
Mike loved and played baseball. At the age of 6, he started playing in the Holden league, then Bradenton, Fla. youth league and Manatee High baseball team. When Mike was 9 to 13, he was bat boy for the Pittsburgh Pirates during their spring training. He really enjoyed it when he met and made friends with the players and their families, including Hal and Bryan McCrae, with KC Royals.
Mike loved his kids most of all – Maddie and Micah, and he loved the Lord and was very active in several churches, helping people and raising money for the church. He enjoyed boating, fishing, scuba diving and cooking, especially teaching Maddie and Micah how to swim, water ski and scuba dive, and Mike loved to cook and was very good in the kitchen and outside on the grill and smoker. He suffered from psoriatic arthritis most of his adult life.
We will all miss Mike, but we know he is home now with our Lord and his infant son Levi and all his other family and friends.In lieu of flowers, donate to the Holden Community of Christ Church.
A visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at the Holden Community of Christ located at 401 S. Pine, Holden MO 64040.
A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church.
