Richard “Ricky” Charles Sechrest

Richard “Ricky” Charles Sechrest, 41 of Holden, Missouri passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 04, 2024, at his home in Holden, Missouri.

He was born Wednesday, September 15, 1982, in Elk City, Oklahoma, to Richard “Rick” Sechrest and the late Doris Ann (Howell) Sechrest.
Richard was a 2001 graduate of Holden High School.

Richard was known by family and friends as “Ricky” and preferred to go by that. He had a passion for cooking and spent many years in the food industry as a cook.

Ricky was employed at The Garage Bar & Grill in Harrisonville, Missouri. Besides his love for cooking, Ricky loved taking care of the farm animals.
He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Surviving is his; father, Richard Sechrest of the home; brother, Scott Sechrest of Holden, MO; sister, Stefanie Golem and husband Steven of Belton, MO; and paternal grandmother Pauline Sechrest of Holden, MO.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Doris (Howell) Drennon and his paternal grandfather, Merrill Sechrest; maternal grandparents, Glen “Henry” Howell and Susie Howell Ferio.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024, 10:30 a.m., at the Holden Baptist Temple 605 N. Lexington St., Holden, MO with Pastor Michael Wakeman officiating. Interment to follow at Gilbert Cemetery, Holden, MO.
