Ralph Shockley Jr.

Ralph Shockley Jr. was born November 3, 1946, in Magnolia, Missouri to Ralph I. Shockley and Jewell M. Shockley.

Ralph was educated in the Holden School District. He worked for the Holden Manor Care Center as maintenance supervisor until he retired.
He enjoyed grilling, gardening, fishing, listening to “old school” music, spending time with family and friends and he had a love for “classic cars.”
He attended Way of Christ Church for many years.

Ralph departed this life on Friday March 29, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father Ralph Sr., and sibling Sharon K. Taylor; paternal grandparents Glasco and Bessie Shockley; maternal grandparents Sam and Mattie Goodwin.

Ralph leaves to cherish his memory his life partner Angela Thomas; mother Ms. Jewell Shockley; daughter Recolia (Jesse) Wehmeyer; son Arbra (Michaelia) Shockley Sr.; three siblings, Peggy A. Scott, Joseph Shockley and Darlene Carmichael; four grandchildren, Reco, Von, Arbra Jr., Arie Mae and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He will be missed by so many.

The family will receive family and friends from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 06, 2024, at Covenant Church of Holden, 298 SW 131 Hwy, Holden, MO.

The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 06, 2024, at Covenant Church of Holden. Interment will follow at Holden Cemetery.
