Judy K. Guinn

Judy K. Guinn, 70 of Holden, Missouri passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024 at her home.

Judy was born January 14, 1954 in Wild Cherry, Arkansas the daughter of Leo Alma and Ercie Alfreda (Orr) Porterfield.

She graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in Pleasant Hill, MO.

She was united in marriage to Elton H. Guinn, Jr. on April 15, 1977 in Strasburg, MO, creating their home in Holden, MO.

Judy worked as a butcher/baker at Lloyd’s IGA for 20 years. In later years, she worked as a bookkeeper with Key Largo Properties.

She loved being a grandmother and attending to her flowers. Judy was also known for her famous Texas Chocolate Sheet Cake.

Survivors include her husband: Terry; two sons: Shawn Guinn (Amy) of Kingsville, MO and Doug (D.L.) Guinn (Nicole) of Holden, MO; daughter-in-law: Michelle Guinn of Magnolia, MO; sister: Sandy Ethridge (Doug) of Holden, MO; brother: Jerry Leo Porterfield (Rita Michelle) of Lone Jack, MO; 10 grandchildren: Haley McLennan, Jacqueline Kay Grant (Tyler), Micheal Guinn (Amanda), Dylan Guinn (Alexis), Lillian Ercie Guinn, Airyn Guinn, Aidian Guinn, Izabell Guinn, McKenzie Denney (Dakota), Emmi Denney and Avary Denney; seven great grandchildren and three nieces and nephews: Jeremy Ethridge, Jill Cowan and Brock Porterfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son: Elton Hershell Guinn III, and an infant sister: Gloria Sue Porterfield.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 2 at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden, with Charles Blair officiating.

Interment will follow at New Liberty Cemetery, near Magnolia.

The family will receive friends, one hour prior to service, Friday at Williams.

Memorial contributions may be left to the Judy K. Guinn Memorial Fund in care of Williams.
