James Edward Rearden

James Edward Rearden, 79, of Holden, Missouri passed away Saturday October 14, 2023, at Lee’s Summit Medical Center surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Holden on February 14, 1944, to Thomas and Mary (Beatty) Rearden. James grew up in Holden and graduated from high school in 1964.

James married Gale Still on February 19, 1989. He was a truck driver all his life, most recently driving for APAC. When he wasn’t driving, he was fishing, and camping. James was passionate about woodworking and truly enjoyed making anything he could think of. He was also an avid gardener that enjoyed sharing his bounty with friends and family.

James will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
James is preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Dennis Rearden.

Surviving his passing are his wife Gale, of the home; son, Dale (Reva) Rearden of Independence, MO; daughter, Sheila Agcopra of Independence, MO; brothers, Tom Rearden of Haughton, LA and Jack Rearden of Sumter, SC; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held at Campbell-Cast Funeral Home on Saturday October 21, 2023, at 11:00 AM, with Pastor John Doney officiating.

Pallbearers include Robert Corlew, Denny Holsey, Taylor Morris, Mason Morris, Noah Morris, and Koby Arr. Honorary pallbearer, Mason Hart. In Lieu of Flowers memorials are suggested to the family to help with funeral expenses. Online condolences may be left at www.castfuneralhome.com
