Ruth Louise Kinney

Ruth Louise Kinney, 78 of Warrensburg, Missouri passed away Thursday March 30, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City. She was born February 20, 1945, to William Alfred and Helen Louise (Carpenter) Hamilton.

Ruth attended and graduated from Holden High School in 1963. She married Marion Kinney in February of the same year and together they made their home in Holden where they had one son, Richard.

Ruth worked for Walmart as a retail clerk until her retirement in the mid 80s.

Ruth and her best friends Wanda and Marie made garage sale-ing their new past time. They never missed the opportunity to go to one. Ruth was a kind, caring, and beautiful woman that loved life. She will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Surviving her passing are her son, Richard (Carrie) Kinney of Holden; brother Carl Hamilton of Australia; two nieces, Donna Fae (Terry) Hobbs and Denise (Jerry) Oldham; her very best friends Wanda Rainey and Marie Hunzinger.

Preceding Ruth in death are her parents William and Helen; husband Marion; and sister Fae Wyatt.

A graveside service will be held to honor Ruth on April 5, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Holden Cemetery in Holden, Missouri with Michael Wakeman officiating.
