Beverly Ann Comer

Beverly Ann Comer, 88 of Holden, Missouri passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City.

Beverly was born March 21, 1934 in Browning, Missouri the daughter of Orville Hampton and Iola (Deskins) Hampton. She attended Brookfield High School.

On October 6, 1949, she was united in marriage to Clifford “Shorty” Comer in Holden. The couple resided in Brunswick until moving to the Holden area in 1958.

Beverly was employed at the Phillips 66 Station at Elm for several years. Her hobbies included crocheting, in years past and embroidery. She was a faithful member of Elm Spring Baptist Church.

Survivors include four daughters: Beverly Annette Huff (Lee) of Marshall, MO; Marsha Kay Hedglin (Ronnie) of Holden, MO; Cindy Sue Adolph (Gary) of Worden, IL and Janey Louise Gomez (Chris) of Independence, MO; two sisters, Carolyn Baugh of Sullivan, MO and Peggy Ricketts of Grain Valley, MO; thirteen grandchildren, thirty two great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cliff; infant daughter, Mary Elizabeth; infant son, James Clifford; son, Clifford Emmett “Butch;” sister, Barbara Malone and brother, Robert.

Funeral Services were Monday, January 30 the at Elm Spring Baptist Church with Rev. Robin Dale officiating.
Interment followed at the Holden Cemetery.

Pallbearers were her grandsons: Terry Hedglin, Shane Huff, Casey Adolph, Cory Adolph, Zachary Houchen and James Bradshaw.

The family received friends, prior to service, Monday at the church.

Memorial Contributions may be left to the Elm Spring Baptist Church Building Fund.
