Jack Lee Gard

Jack Lee Gard, 90, longtime Kingsville resident passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City.

Jack was born March 3, 1932 in Longview, Washington, son of George and Mary (Nichols) Gard. He graduated from Kingsville High School.

He was united in marriage to Grace Ann Bray on September 9, 1949 in Lee’s Summit.

Jack was a plasterer by trade. He was an active member of Local, #518 with 70 years of dedicated service. He played guitar, base guitar and notably, steel guitar in numerous bands throughout the years. Jack was also an avid bird hunter and he loved his bird dogs.

Survivors include: his daughter, Jackie Hall and husband, Steve of Blue Springs, MO; three grandchildren, Russel Hough, Jamey Hough and Tami Lambertz and husband, Joe; and four great grandchildren, Trey Sohl, Elizabeth Sohl, Brody Lambertz and Brae Lambertz. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace and daughter, Barbara.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 23 at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden, with Pastor Tim Whitmore officiating. Interment will follow at Elm Spring Cemetery.

The family will receive friends, one hour prior to service, Wednesday at the chapel.

Memorial contributions may be left to the Elm Spring Cemetery Association in care of Williams.
