Gary Don DeMasters
Gary Don DeMasters was born January 22, 1941 in Holden, Missouri, to Donald R. DeMasters and Lovina Mae Saling.
He passed away June 6, 2022, in Austin, Texas.
After his parents divorced, he and his siblings went to Hawaii to live with their mother for a few years.
Once they returned, he entered activities at Holden High School.
He was a fun, outgoing person and had many friends. He finished high school at Kingsville before serving in the U.S. Navy for 10 years and held a degree in agriculture from Tarleton State University, Stephenville, Texas.
Gary was a member of Kingsville Baptist Church, Kingsville, Missouri.
Gary was the founder of Maestro-Gro Natural Fertilizer Products, but he sold the business in early 2000 and moved back to Missouri, where opened a natural health store in Pleasant Hill, Missouri for several years.
Gary’s siblings were: Gail Rowland, Richardson, Texas; and Jimmie DeMasters, Gravois Mills, Missouri. His children were: Gary Don DeMasters II, Bethel Park, Pennsylvania; Brian DeMasters, Georgetown, Texas; Tye DeMasters, Greensboro, North Carolina; and Taryn DeMasters, Springdale, Arkansas.
He had 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Sept. 17 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingsville Baptist Church, with Pastor John McRoy officiating.
Interment will be at the Gilbert Cemetery, Kingsville, Missouri.
