Haskel Leon Hobbs
Haskel Leon Hobbs, 83 of Harrisonville, Missouri passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022, at his home in Harrisonville.
He was born Wednesday, December 14, 1938 in Santa Cruz, California to the late Amos Hobbs and the late Lula (Hackler) Hobbs.
He was a graduate of Marshall High School in Marshall, MO. He married Sandra (Young) Hobbs on April 11, 1992, they spent 30 happy years together.
Haskel worked as an Operating Engineer and was a member of the Local 101 Operating Engineer Union. His construction career began working as a cement mason for Wayne Carter Construction. He retired as a Supervisor for Superior Bowen Asphalt and Paving in 2003.
He was an avid hunter and excelled in shooting sports. He also loved reloading ammunition, collecting and keeping firearms.
He enjoyed working on cars and old hot rods. He enjoyed spending time with his good friend and dog, Cooper.
Haskel will be missed by all his friends and family that loved him so much.
Surviving are three sons, Curt (Karen) Hobbs of Kingsville, MO, Kevin (Amanda) Hobbs of Jasper, AR, Cory (Cheri) Hobbs of Pleasant Hill, MO; four step-sons, James (Kelly) Snyder of Harrisonville, Leroy Snyder of Garden City, MO, Bobby Arnold Jr. of Florida, Jerry (Lisa) Arnold of Pierce City, MO; one sister, Lavond Embery of Kingsville, MO; fourteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Campbell-Cast Funeral Home 407 S. Pine St., Holden, Missouri.
A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with interment in the Duncan Cemetery, Kingsville, MO.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made out to St. Croix Hospice.
