John Michael Sechrest

John Michael Sechrest, 28, of Holden Missouri, passed away unexpectedly Saturday July 30, 2022.

Michael was born Sunday, March 6, 1994, in Kansas City, Missouri, to John William Sechrest and Paula (Blankenship) Sechrest.

Michael lived in Holden his whole life and graduated from Holden High School in 2012.

Michael absolutely loved his Kansas City Chiefs and never missed a game.

If the Chiefs were playing that’s what was on the TV whether you liked it or not.

Michael’s favorite day of the year was the 4th of July.

He would put on a fireworks show that was better than most towns.

On July 5th he was preparing for next year’s show.

Michael was definitely a pyrotechnic at heart.

He absolutely loved his nieces and always enjoyed giving them rides on his wheelchair.

Michael had a beautiful and caring soul and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his parents, of the home; Brothers, Dillon (Brittney) Sechrest of Warrensburg and Jacob (Allison) Sechrest of Holden; Nieces, Addilynn Sechrest, Wilder Sechrest and Paisley Sechrest.

Pallbearers for his service will be: Dillon Sechrest, Jacob Sechrest, Chase Sechrest, Eli Kirchhoff, Chanler Sechrest, and Ricky Sechrest.

A Visitation for Michael will be Thursday August 4, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Campbell-Cast Funeral Home in Holden MO.

A Graveside Service will follow at Medford Cemetery in Holden MO., with Pastor Michael Wakeman officiating.

In Lieu Of Flowers, the family asks for memorials in Michael’s name to the Neuromuscular Access Initiative (nainitiative.com).

The family would also like to ask that everyone wear patriotic or Chiefs gear to the service.
