Marcus Benjamen Campbell, age nine, died on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at his home in Holden, Missouri.

He was born on Monday, April 16, 2012, in Overland Park, Kansas, to Tami (Elvik) Campbell and Benjamen Campbell.

Marcus attended Holden Elementary School and was in third grade.

He had Down Syndrome and loved TV and music.

He loved to push people around in the wheelchairs at church and enjoyed horses and attending horse therapy.

Marcus was a very loving, friendly, special child who gave out hugs often.

Marcus was loved by all who knew him, including students and staff alike at the Holden Elementary School.

He was a good boy who enjoyed life and playing with his brothers.

He will be greatly missed. Surviving are his parents, Benjamen and Tami (Elvik) Campbell of Holden, Missouri; four brothers, Steven Campbell, Matthew Campbell, Lucas Campbell, and Josiah Campbell, all of Holden, Missouri; one sister, Lisa Campbell, of Holden, Missouri; paternal grandparents, Michael Campbell and Joan Campbell of Warrensburg, Missouri; maternal grandmother, Louise Albright of Wilton, Iowa. Marcus was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Darrell Elvik.

The family received friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at the Northside Assembly of God Church in Holden, Missouri.

A funeral service followed at 11 a.m., with Rev. Michael Campbell and Rev. Teresa Anderson officiating.
