Council Approves Election Results; Accepts Resignations
The former administration of the Holden City Council met in regular session on April 12, to certify April 5 General Municipal Election results.
Former Mayor Liz Weeks called the meeting to order and read Bill No. 04-01-2022, an ordinance certifying election results from the April 5 election.
Included in the reading were all election total votes for each office/seat.
In brief, the document states that: For the Office of Mayor for the City of Holden, Ray Briscoe defeated Doyle Weeks. Briscoe received 417 votes; Weeks received 49 votes. Briscoe is serving a four-year term.
