BIG BOY ARRIVES

Big Boy Arrives… The “Big Boy” locomotive steamed through Holden last Tuesday in all of its former, and present, glory to the delight of several hundred onlookers. The massive engine weighing about 1.2 million pounds and developing an incredible 7,000 horsepower, remains the sole operating locomotive of its kind in the world today. The arrival of Big Boy capped off a local celebration envisioned by Gabrielle Miller, complete with a form party, bounce house, animal balloons, a spray tower, numerous vendors and rides on a mini-train.
