ROBERTA (ROGERS) PENROSE

Roberta (Rogers) Penrose, 85, of Warrensburg, Missouri, passed away on December 2, 2021, at Warrensburg Manor in Warrensburg.

She was born on February 21, 1936 in Warrensburg, and was the daughter of the late Dorris and Lillian Rogers.

Roberta graduated from Warrensburg High School in 1954. In 1956, she married John Penrose in Warrensburg and then relocated to Independence, Missouri where they started their family.

Roberta is survived by sons, John (Makell) Penrose of Holladay, Utah; Jeff (Kristen) Penrose of Knoxville, Tennessee; Kevin Penrose of Independence, Missouri; Brett (Monica) Penrose of Kingsville, Missouri; Mehl (Eddie Suárez) Penrose of Chevy Chase, MD; David (Cie Gafford) Penrose of Warrensburg; Michael (Cheris Woolever) Penrose of North Hollywood, California; two daughters, Jennifer (Richard) Triplett of Washington, Missouri and Rebecca (Tom Botts) Penrose of Knob Noster, Missouri; nieces, Teresa (David) Pearce and Christie Delaney; grandchildren, Matthew, Jonathan, Addie, Kate, Michael, Christopher, Ariel, Eric and Sebastian.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Penrose; her sister, Ann Delaney; and her sons, Mark and Curtis Penrose.

A private family funeral service will be held at Campbell-Cast Funeral Home in Holden, with burial to follow in the Holden Cemetery.

Casketbearers are John Penrose, Jeff Penrose, Kevin Penrose, Brett Penrose, Mehl Penrose and Dave Penrose.

The family suggests that memorial donations be made out to the American Heart Association or the Johnson County Cancer Foundation.
